ChatGPT

Connect your SSCD account and use it in your conversations.

The SSCD plugin connects your subscription to ChatGPT. Setup uses your existing SSCD sign-in. You won’t need an API key or your own GPT.

The plugin is being tested privately. Public installation will be available after approval. The existing private GPT setup remains available below.

  1. Install SSCD in ChatGPT

Select Connect to ChatGPT above to open SSCD’s plugin page, then install it. When ChatGPT asks to connect an account, continue.
  2. Sign in to SSCD

Enter your SSCD email and the code sent to you. If you’re already signed in, you’ll go straight to the connection screen.
  3. Connect your company

Check the company shown, then select Connect to ChatGPT. If you belong to more than one eligible company, choose the company you want to use. SSCD returns you to ChatGPT automatically.
  4. Start asking questions

Run SSCD’s setup in ChatGPT to confirm your company and try a small lookup. Then use SSCD in your normal conversations. You can disconnect in Account → AI connections.

You need an eligible SSCD subscription. ChatGPT can read the data you request and cannot change it. If your workspace blocks plugins, ask its administrator to allow SSCD. Workspace help

Available now: create a private GPT with an SSCD key

Get your personal SSCD key

Open Get my AI key below and sign in if asked. Under Personal AI keys, enter a key name such as “My AI”, then click Create AI key. Keep that tab open so you can copy the key into your AI’s authentication settings. Every eligible subscriber user can create their own key.

Your key is shown once. Save it in your password manager. The data you request is sent to your chosen AI service.

You’ll create a private assistant inside ChatGPT, called a GPT. Once connected, you can ask it to look up SSCD data for you. No coding is needed.

Use ChatGPT in a web browser on your computer and keep this guide open in another tab. Your ChatGPT account must allow you to create GPTs and use Actions. If you cannot open the setup page, check your plan or ask your workspace administrator.

  1. Open the setup page in ChatGPT

Click the button below. It opens ChatGPT’s page for creating your own assistant in a new tab. Sign in to your ChatGPT account if asked.

Open ChatGPT setup (opens in a new tab)
  2. Give your assistant a name

At the top of the setup page, select the Configure tab. Find the Name field and type My SSCD assistant.
  3. Find the Actions section

Stay on the Configure tab and scroll down to Actions. Click Create new action. This is where you connect your assistant to SSCD.
  4. Copy the SSCD address into ChatGPT

Click Copy API definition URL below. Switch to ChatGPT, click Import from URL, paste the copied address into the URL field and click Import. You should now see four SSCD actions for finding centres and projects.

  5. Paste your SSCD key

On the action setup page in ChatGPT, open Authentication. Select API Key, then Bearer. Switch to your SSCD key tab and click Copy key. Return to ChatGPT, paste it into the API Key field and save the authentication settings. Paste only the key; ChatGPT adds “Bearer” for you.
  6. Save your assistant privately

Return to your assistant’s setup page and save it. When asked who can use it, choose Only me. Keep it private because it uses your personal SSCD key.
  7. Start a chat with your SSCD assistant

Open your saved My SSCD assistant in ChatGPT and try a question such as “Find shopping centres in Stockholm county.” If ChatGPT asks permission to call SSCD, allow the request. Next time, open this same assistant to chat with the database.
Optional: give your assistant extra guidance

In ChatGPT, go back to the Configure tab. Copy the text below and paste it into the Instructions field before saving your assistant.

Assistant instructions

Use the SSCD actions to answer questions about Swedish shopping centres, owners and planned retail projects. Search first, then use the returned slug to load details. Use pagination when needed and state when results are partial. Include links to the SSCD record. Use only returned data; say when information is unavailable. Preserve source-reported sales growth and project uncertainty. Never reconstruct superseded turnover or calculate growth from withdrawn sales. Never ask for an API key in the conversation; authentication is configured in the action settings.

Add SSCD as a custom connector.

  1. Add a connector

Open Customize → Connectors in Claude. Select + Add → Add custom connector and name it “SSCD”.
  2. Paste the server URL

Paste the SSCD server URL shown here and continue. This connects Claude to SSCD through MCP.
  3. Add your key as a request header

Choose No sign in for Authentication. Under Request headers, add a header named Authorization. Its value is Bearer, one space, then your SSCD key. Replace the placeholder shown here with your key and finish adding the connector.
  4. Enable SSCD and ask a question

Start a chat, open the + menu, choose Connectors and enable SSCD. Then try a question below.

SSCD server URL

https://app.sscd.se/api/mcp

Request header name

Authorization

Request header value — replace YOUR_SSCD_KEY

Bearer YOUR_SSCD_KEY

On Claude Team or Enterprise, an organization owner may need to add the connector. A fixed header is shared by everyone who uses that organization connector; use an approved account integration key for team setup, rather than your personal key. Claude's setup reference

Try asking…

“Find shopping centres in Stockholm county.”

“Who owns Mall of Scandinavia?”

“Show planned retail projects in Västra Götaland.”

Need a hand?

I can’t see GPT Actions or custom connectors

Check your AI account’s features and your organization’s settings. If your workspace restricts external connections, ask its admin to enable SSCD. The steps require GPT Actions in ChatGPT or custom connectors with request headers in Claude.

My key is rejected

Check that the key was copied in full and has not expired or been revoked. ChatGPT’s API Key field needs only the key. Claude’s header value needs ‘Bearer’, a space and the key. Your SSCD subscription and membership must still be active.

I forgot to copy my key

SSCD shows a new key only once. Create a replacement in Account → API access, update your AI’s authentication settings and revoke the unused key.

How do I disconnect?

For the ChatGPT plugin, open Account → AI connections and select Disconnect. For Claude or a legacy GPT, revoke its key in Account → API access. Access stops immediately.

My setup link expired or I cancelled

Return to SSCD in ChatGPT and choose Connect again. Setup links expire after 15 minutes. Cancelling grants no access.

My company or subscription is missing

Sign in with the email your company uses for SSCD. Ask your company administrator to check your membership and subscription, then restart the connection in ChatGPT.

Other AI tools and advanced setup

Other clients that accept HTTP MCP servers and bearer headers can use the same SSCD server URL and key. For key-based ChatGPT access, use the expandable legacy GPT setup above.

Grok Build command — replace YOUR_SSCD_KEY

grok mcp add --transport http sscd https://app.sscd.se/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_SSCD_KEY"

This command is for Grok Build, the command-line product. It is not a setup instruction for the ordinary Grok chat website.
